Month: July 2015

It’s only an hour flight but when my Boeing hits it’s sky comfort the sun has already started it’s decent bringing out a dark orange not yet red, falling and tucking herself behind earth’s shell to wake the others. Only a sliver of his eye half awake and half dreaming the blues of his power starting to reach into her yellows to start California’s evening in his eyes. What once were two clouds is now a few more than before spread out like a tired mother on her bed but still awake enough to watch over earth’s children. A leap away and a lift of the heavy wings and my destination is in sight. The city of angels, all of the lights flicker toward the sky as if they were prayers, dreams sent up from the many hopefuls. My landing so smooth, the sky ending my flight of reds and deep blues.
